I could wax and wane about fall and all the good things. This list of Pumpkin Patches Denver – Northern Colorado 2024 has the crowd favorites along with some smaller gems mixed in.
It will not include every possible pumpkin patch or I would exceed my friendly word limit. But here you will find a mix of paid and free patches along with opening and closing dates.

Pumpkin Patches Denver – Northern Colorado 2024
10451 Mckay Road, Thornton
September 21st – Oct 31st
Free to enter with a-la-carte pricing from 0-$14 for activities. With over 40 acres of fun you will find something fun for everyone in your household and you can create your own budget.

Hudson
October Weekends
$17 for all activities plus you get to pick a pumpkin to take home with you. Additional pumpkins will cost you extra. They pride themselves on their scare free activities.

September 28th – Oct 31st
This is a good pick if you can go Tuesday through Thursday, that is because all activities are free on these days. Your pumpkins will cost extra. Any other day you are paying $10 per person to get in, this does include the corn maze but then you are paying for pumpkins on top of admission fees.
6728 County Rd 31/4, Erie
September 25th – Oct 31st
If you are over 4 you can expect to pay Monday – Thursdays $17 for a timed entry pass. The weekend will cost you $29. If you want a anytime ticket then that will set you back $27 weekdays or $39 on the weekends. Pumpkins are extra. This also excludes terror in the corn which will cost you at least $40 depending on when you go. Anderson Farms is one of the favorites and days can sell out pretty quickly.

One of the more affordable cost options, Cottonwood is $8 per person. If you want a wagon ride that will be a extra cost. However, children under 5 are free and if you are over 65 you can also enter for free.

Gaining speed on their pricing to match Anderson Farms, Fritzler pricing looks like this. $35 for the Fun pass, including over 20 attractions, the pumpkin patch, beer garden and corn maze, not the actual pumpkin though. Or for full access to all the fun $51.95. This includes shooting gallery session, pumpkin cannon and everything the Fun Pass includes. Note you only get one turn at the shooting gallery and pumpkin cannon.

October Weekends
The pumpkin patch is free to enter. If you want access to all of the fun you will pay $15.00 for 3 and up. This includes all of their different corn mazes, peddle cars, bounce pads, pyramid slide etc. Pumpkins will be extra.

Free to enter. You can visit with the animals, take pictures and enjoy activities for your tiny friends. Pumpkins and any extras you want to buy while there will cost you.

Weekdays enjoy a mellow pumpkin patch experience just picking and paying for your pumpkins. Weekends there are more activities but at a $1 each you can design your fun and decide how much you want to spend!

Free admission and fun including small and large corn maze. Pick your own pumpkin patch and other fun for the little ones. Pumpkins will be extra and they also offer some other yummy options including their own beef and honey.
Tips for Visiting Pumpkin Patches Denver to Northern Colorado
- Be sure to check each website first. Many of the bigger ones like Anderson Farms and Fritzler Farms allow you to buy online first. You may also want to schedule and buy a timed ticket ahead of time, especially on the weekend.
- Weekends are always going to be busier. If you can go to one of the patches open during the weekdays it will be a quieter experience.
- If you are on a budget, definitely bring your own fun snacks. It will save you a lot when the kids are begging for $10 caramel apples.
- Pumpkins will always cost you extra.
- Not all pumpkin patches are pick your own. If you are looking for the true pick your own experience, use the links to research.
- Earlier in the day is quieter then as the day goes along. Especially on a cooler day.
- If it has been snowing, check that the patch is open. Sometimes they will have to close due to mud or freezes.
- If you or your kids get overwhelmed with crowds the smaller patches will be a better choice. But, you probably already know that.
- Wear long pants and shirts if you are picking your own. I have made that mistake too many times and been scratched up.
- If you get allergies, take precautions as these are farms and quite dusty.
