Erie

Welcome to...

Erie Colorado

Erie has become a popular location to live.  This is thanks to its thriving old downtown area, it’s parks, schools and proximity to both Boulder and Denver. Erie is mostly new to newish neighborhoods since it has taken off in the last 10 years.  There are a few acreage gems and old downtown homes to mix it up.  Whether you enjoy mountain views, living on a golf course or being close to everything you need, moving to Erie Colorado might be right for you.

the details...

Location of Erie Colorado

Thinking of Moving to Erie Colorado?  Erie is in a perfect location for commuting. Located North to Northwest of Denver you get mountain views with easy interstate access. If you are working in Denver you are about 25 minutes from downtown.  A lot of people living in Erie work in Boulder which is a straight shot West and will take you about 15-20 minutes.  Looking to get to DIA you are just a 25 – 30 minute drive.

Why You'll LOVE it:

Why You'll HATE it:

Mountain Vies

Nearly all neighborhoods in Erie Colorado yield Mountain views.

The Dump

A bit of an eyesore, there are a few neighborhoods that are in the way of the local dump too.

Community Feel

Erie has a close-knit community feel. Many of my clients mention and appreciate this.

Property Taxes

Due to higher home prices and a lot of Metro Districts, property taxes are higher in Erie then surrounding towns to the North and East.

Parks and Open Space

Erie has a plethora of parks and open spaces. From small neighborhood parks to large open spaces with trails.

Suburban Feel

Not everyone loves the endless neighborhood feel that Erie has.

Location

Located within 30 minutes of most major employment areas makes Erie an appealing town.

House Prices

Closer to Boulder yields higher prices. This makes Erie pricier then surrounding towns and suburbs.

Old Downtown

Old town Erie is one of the cuter old downtown areas. Restaurants, cafes, breweries and small locally owned businesses are the heart of downtown.

Oil and Gas

Weld County has more lenient oil and gas rules. This means the Weld County side of Erie you will find housing developments built around active oil and gas wells.  Check the GIS maps for more info on each neighborhood.
